Jesus, Republicans & The Religious Right

This is for all my friends who want to say that Republicans are just the Christians and yet then argue that Jesus was a liberal socialist. I am sorry that just does not make any sense.

Is Jesus a Republican?

and another great article about

The Religious Right – an American Reaction, Not and Imposition

These are great very well written articles that deserve a read.

The book of Acts is quite clearly communist — Sapphira and her husband were *killed* for not giving enough *of their own money* to the commune.

(or, as the commune leader — Peter — would have you believe, they were killed for lying to God. Yeah right. Peter murdered them for their money. Read the Bible, it’s obvious to any but the most blindly faithful who think faith is a virtue but in the same breath claim it takes “too much” faith to disbelieve.)

Here are some links offering to explain the difference between what you are calling Communism in the Bible and a traditional contemporary definition of Communism. There is a definite difference between what the bible is talking about and what society views as communism.

Hey, thanks for the links to my blog.

If people want to voluntarily join a commune, well fine. It might be nice if everyone within the commune is living a Christian life. However, forcing everyone else to join by making it national is another matter.

People love to “read between the lines” of the Bible, and they ignore what is plainly being written by the author of the letter in question. Yeah, Luke, Paul and the others were making it up as they went along… and willing to die for what they themselves knew was a lie? Don’t think so.
